Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales will serve as an extension of the Chief Executive Officer, owning, directing and refining VEDA’s enterprise go-to-market strategy in a high-growth, early-stage environment. This executive will work alongside the CEO to support and manage VEDA’s end-to-end sales process from prospecting through close, ensuring that VEDA’s revenue goals are met or exceeded. The Vice President, Sales will partner with VEDA’s co-founders to support and manage the existing pipeline, and to build processes and a team that support rapid and profitable growth and scale.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Serve as thought partner to CEO in establishing and managing to VEDA’s enterprise growth strategy and plan
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Customer Success team to monitor opportunities for new products and features as VEDA grows its customer base
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with leadership and provider network management and development teams at national and regional health plans and other at-risk entities
  • Establish segments across end-markets (payer, ACO’s, IDNs, ) to assess and manage to market opportunity, and to prioritize potential customers
  • Partner with CEO and Finance team to establish and manage to quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop and implement processes, KPI’s, technology, and reporting mechanisms to bring visibility to pipeline health and revenue growth against sales & revenue goals
  • Support product optimization and enhancement processes and initiatives
  • Partner with customer success function to ensure seamless hand-off from sales to implementation team, and to establish customer retention and upsell strategies
  • Manage sales and revenue performance, including hitting and / or surpassing targets consistently
  • Build and retain a top-tier Sales organization; establish a performance-driven team, and a culture of transparency, accountability, creativity, and entrepreneurialism
  • Alongside Marketing Coordinator, manage all aspects of VEDA’s brand including web presence, strategy for conferences and trade shows, collateral and materials for sales presentations, and RFP responses in support of new and renewal sales
  • Liaise between the Sales organization and product teams to optimize product portfolio across risk and non-risk contracts into both payer, at-risk provider, and accountable care organizations
  • Build and manage RFP process
  • Identify and implement Sales process enhancement opportunities

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership role with a track record of execution, innovation, and passion for growth in the healthcare industry
  • Undergraduate degree MBA or commensurate experience preferred
  • Track record driving profitable growth in a rapidly-scaling organization
  • Experience executing large, enterprise deals, and managing long-term client partnerships into a variety of healthcare stakeholders, including national and regional payer organizations, at-risk providers, and other accountable care organizations
  • Strong knowledge of payer operations, including provider network management and development and negotiation processes
  • Strong process and metrics orientation and a successful track record building, developing, leading, motivating and scaling high-performing Sales teams in fast- growing environments
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate VEDA’s value proposition in the market
  • Passion for, and alignment with VEDA’s mission
  • Demonstrated success attracting, developing and retaining high caliber, integrated sales teams in healthcare
